Responsibility
- Lead and supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP.
- Oversee the general ledger operations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely closing of accounts.
- Develop and implement financial reporting processes, controls, and best practices to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., FP&A, Tax, Audit) to ensure alignment on financial data and reporting requirements.
- Manage and mentor a team of accountants, fostering professional growth and high performance.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate audits and address inquiries.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, SOX controls, and global Mercedes-Benz financial standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in financial reporting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and consolidation.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, and SOX compliance.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., German, Indonesian) are advantageous.
