Responsibility
- Oversee the end-to-end financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with MFRS and statutory requirements.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and decision-support to commercial business unit heads to optimize performance.
- Drive the annual budgeting, rolling forecasting, and long-term financial planning cycles.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital requirements to ensure optimal liquidity.
- Lead the preparation of monthly management reports, highlighting variance analysis and key business drivers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving initiatives and revenue-enhancement opportunities.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure full corporate governance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or ICAEW is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial management or commercial accounting.
- Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards and local Malaysian tax regulations.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex financial insights to non-financial managers.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process automation and improvement.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop finance team members.
