Responsibility
- Manage and process all import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
- Ensure compliance with local and international trade laws, customs regulations, and tariff classifications.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines to facilitate smooth cargo movement.
- Monitor and resolve delays or issues in customs clearance to minimize disruptions in the supply chain.
- Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions and prepare reports for management review.
- Negotiate with suppliers, buyers, and logistics providers to optimize costs and delivery timelines.
- Stay updated on changes in trade policies, tariffs, and international shipping standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, finance, and legal) to align import/export activities with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in export/import operations, preferably in manufacturing or logistics.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian customs regulations, HS codes, and Incoterms.
- Proficiency in trade compliance software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Indonesian is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with free trade agreements (FTAs) and preferential tariff programs.
