Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and ocular health for patients of all ages.
- Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia, and glaucoma, providing appropriate treatment plans.
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, including eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring optimal visual performance and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care, including referrals for specialized treatments.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and the proper use and maintenance of corrective lenses.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in optometry, including new diagnostic technologies and treatment methodologies.
- Contribute to the hospital's mission by participating in community outreach programs and health awareness campaigns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Optometry from an accredited institution.
- Valid optometry license and registration to practice in Indonesia (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in optometry, preferably in a hospital or multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in using advanced optometric equipment, including autorefractors, slit lamps, and retinal imaging devices.
- Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to identify and manage a wide range of ocular conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or other languages is a plus.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to ethical standards in healthcare.
