Responsibility
- Provide advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) in pre-hospital and emergency settings.
- Assess patient conditions rapidly and administer appropriate medical interventions, including IV therapy, airway management, and medication administration.
- Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment, including defibrillators, ventilators, and monitoring devices.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient handover and continuity of care.
- Document all patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes accurately in compliance with medical and legal standards.
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills, community outreach programs, and public health initiatives.
- Train and mentor junior staff or volunteers in emergency response protocols and best practices.
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and ethical guidelines in high-stress environments.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-P) from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency medical services, preferably in pre-hospital or critical care settings.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
- Proven ability to remain calm, decisive, and effective in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift, carry, and maneuver patients and equipment in challenging conditions.
- Familiarity with local emergency response protocols and willingness to adapt to new environments.
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license (preferred for mobile response units).
