Responsibility
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support the Group Technology (GT) Data & Payments ecosystem.
- Develop robust ETL/ELT processes to ingest, process, and store high-volume transaction data.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and Analysts to optimize data structures for machine learning and real-time reporting.
- Ensure high performance, security, and reliability of data storage and processing infrastructure.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production data workflows, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal data quality.
- Implement data governance policies and ensure compliance with regional banking regulations.
- Support the migration of on-premise data workloads to cloud environments for improved elasticity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Data Engineering or backend software development.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java).
- Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or Flink.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of data modeling, database design (Relational & NoSQL), and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills, preferably within the Banking or Payments sector.
