Responsibility
- Develop and maintain accurate material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure timely availability of materials for production.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to forecast demand and align inventory levels with production schedules.
- Monitor and analyze inventory data to identify trends, excess stock, or shortages, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance cost efficiency with production needs, minimizing waste and obsolescence.
- Prepare and present reports on material planning performance, including KPIs such as inventory turnover and service levels.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and proposing solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all material planning activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain roles, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in planning and execution.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
