Responsibility

  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate risks across IT infrastructure and applications.
  • Monitor security systems (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR) for security incidents, alerts, and anomalous activities, ensuring timely detection and response.
  • Perform incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-mortem analysis to minimize impact and prevent recurrence.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce information security policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in security awareness training programs for employees to foster a security-conscious culture and reduce human-related risks.
  • Evaluate and recommend new security technologies, tools, and solutions to continuously enhance the company's security posture and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with IT, development, and business teams to integrate security by design into new projects and existing systems throughout their lifecycle.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, trends, and technologies to proactively adapt security strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in an information security or cybersecurity role, preferably within a corporate or financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and industry best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM platforms, firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint detection & response (EDR) solutions.
  • Solid knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), database security, and cloud security principles (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISM, CISSP) are highly advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced and evolving threat landscape.
