Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine engines and auxiliary systems.
- Inspect engine components for wear and tear, ensuring optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose engine malfunctions, implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and engine performance.
- Assist in the installation and testing of new engine components and systems.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and international maritime standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineering staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Engine Fitter in the maritime industry.
- Certification in marine engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and auxiliary systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces and challenging conditions.
- Valid STCW certification and other relevant maritime qualifications.
- Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
