Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems and equipment on board the tanker vessel.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults to ensure uninterrupted operation of critical systems.
- Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment as required.
- Monitor and maintain emergency power systems, including generators and batteries.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure compliance with maritime safety and environmental regulations.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Provide technical support and training to junior crew members as needed.
- Ensure all electrical work adheres to international maritime standards and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) certification or equivalent maritime electrical qualification.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an electrician on board vessels, preferably tankers.
- Strong knowledge of maritime electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and control systems.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and emergency procedures on tanker vessels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) for effective communication with the crew.
- Willingness to work on a rotational basis and travel internationally.
