Join Funtomato Consultancy as an EDA Software Engineer (Field Application Engineer) and play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge Electronic Design Automation (EDA) solutions to global clients. As a technical bridge between our EDA tools and customers, you will provide expert-level support, troubleshoot complex design challenges, and drive the adoption of advanced semiconductor design methodologies. Responsibility
- Provide technical support and guidance to global customers using EDA tools for semiconductor design, verification, and testing.
- Collaborate with R&D and sales teams to gather customer feedback and drive product improvements.
- Develop and deliver custom scripts, workflows, and methodologies to optimize EDA tool performance for client-specific use cases.
- Conduct on-site and remote training sessions for customers on EDA software features, best practices, and troubleshooting.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to logic synthesis, place-and-route, timing closure, and power optimization.
- Create technical documentation, including application notes, user guides, and FAQs to enhance customer self-service.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, workshops, and trade shows to promote EDA solutions.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in semiconductor design, EDA tools, and industry standards (e.g., UVM, SystemVerilog, FinFET).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics, Siemens EDA).
- Hands-on experience with HDL languages (Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog) and simulation/verification tools (e.g., VCS, Questa, Xcelium).
- Strong understanding of semiconductor design flows, including RTL design, synthesis, and physical implementation.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 30-40%) to support customer engagements.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese) are a plus.
