Responsibility
- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the University’s annual budget and long-term financial plans.
- Oversee financial forecasting, modeling, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with department heads to align financial resources with institutional priorities and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and recommendations to senior leadership and governing bodies.
- Drive process improvements in budgeting, financial reporting, and cost-control mechanisms.
- Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts and budget officers to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Represent the Finance Division in cross-functional committees and external stakeholder engagements.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, CMA) is highly advantageous.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning, budgeting, or treasury, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning within large organizations, preferably in education or non-profit sectors.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant financial frameworks.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing teams, fostering collaboration, and driving organizational change.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Malay, Indonesian) are beneficial.
