Responsibility
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for use.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and place orders as needed.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and health/safety regulations.
- Provide chairside support to dentists, handing instruments and materials efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Dental Assisting or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role (minimum 1-2 years).
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with digital X-ray systems and dental software is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a sterile and organized clinical environment.
- Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain one).
