Responsibility
- Assist the Chef de Partie in the daily operations of the Western kitchen section, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation to meet Accorâs high standards.
- Prepare and cook Western dishes according to established recipes and guest preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold Accorâs culinary excellence.
- Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or similar role in a Western kitchen, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
- Strong knowledge of Western cuisine techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Culinary diploma or equivalent certification from a recognized institution is a plus.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
