Responsibility
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the College of Engineering & Architecture, aligning academic programs with industry standards and global best practices.
- Oversee curriculum development, ensuring relevance, rigor, and compliance with accreditation requirements.
- Foster a culture of research, innovation, and collaboration among faculty, students, and industry partners.
- Lead faculty recruitment, development, and performance evaluation to maintain a high standard of teaching and mentorship.
- Develop and manage the college’s budget, resources, and infrastructure to support academic and operational excellence.
- Strengthen industry and community partnerships to enhance internship, employment, and collaborative opportunities for students.
- Promote student success through academic advising, career counseling, and extracurricular engagement initiatives.
- Represent the college in local, national, and international forums, conferences, and accreditation bodies.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Doctorate in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 10 years of academic experience, with at least 5 years in a senior administrative or leadership role (e.g., Department Chair, Associate Dean).
- Proven track record in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and academic program management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to inspire and manage diverse teams.
- Experience in fostering industry-academia collaborations and securing research grants or partnerships.
- Familiarity with educational technologies, digital learning platforms, and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.
- Professional registration or licensure in Engineering or Architecture is a plus.
