Responsibility
- Develop and implement data validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency across datasets.
- Design and execute data cleansing strategies to resolve discrepancies and improve data quality.
- Monitor data integrity across systems and platforms, identifying and addressing anomalies promptly.
- Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to establish and enforce data governance policies.
- Create and maintain documentation for data quality procedures, standards, and metrics.
- Automate data quality checks using scripting and tools to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Conduct root cause analysis for data issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data quality management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Quality Engineer, Data Analyst, or similar role with a focus on data integrity.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data querying, validation, and cleansing.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Experience with data quality tools such as Talend, Informatica, or Collibra.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for automating data quality processes is a plus.
