Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data availability, quality, and accessibility for analytics and machine learning projects.
- Optimize data storage solutions, including data lakes, warehouses, and databases, for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Implement data governance and security best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to identify and resolve issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Automate manual data processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
- Document data architectures, workflows, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or a related role (Junior to Senior levels considered).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala; experience with big data tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Data Modeling: Experience with data modeling, schema design, and database optimization.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Bonus: Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or machine learning frameworks is a plus.
