Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow and transformation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Implement and optimize data storage solutions, including databases, data lakes, and warehouses, to support large-scale data processing.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security through robust validation, monitoring, and governance practices.
- Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and metadata to facilitate seamless data integration and accessibility.
- Automate data workflows and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance data engineering practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong background in data pipeline development and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Hadoop.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Experience with data modeling, schema design, and metadata management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
