Join HCLTech as a Data Center Operations Engineer and play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of mission-critical data center infrastructure across multiple client sites in Bali, Indonesia. This is a 24/7 shift-based role for a dedicated professional passionate about maintaining high availability, security, and performance of enterprise-grade data centers.
As part of our global team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data center environments, ensuring zero downtime and adherence to SLAs. Responsibility
- Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and cooling/power systems.
- Perform proactive and reactive troubleshooting to resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Execute routine maintenance, patch management, and firmware updates to ensure system reliability.
- Manage incident response, escalation, and resolution in accordance with ITIL best practices.
- Document all operational activities, including incident reports, change logs, and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with global teams to implement data center migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001), and client-specific requirements.
- Provide on-call support for critical incidents outside of standard business hours.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in data center operations, IT infrastructure support, or a similar role.
- Hands-on expertise with server hardware (Dell, HP, Cisco), storage systems (SAN/NAS), and networking (switches, routers, firewalls).
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, CCNA, ITIL v4, or CDCP are highly advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 shift environment.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG) and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Strong communication skills in English and the ability to document technical procedures clearly.
