Responsibility
- Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and networking systems, to ensure 24/7 uptime.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical infrastructure components.
- Respond promptly to alerts and incidents, diagnosing and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure upgrades and optimizations.
- Document operational procedures, maintenance logs, and incident reports for compliance and auditing purposes.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry standards in all operational activities.
- Assist in capacity planning and scalability initiatives to support business growth.
- Provide technical support and training to junior staff and stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data center operations, facility management, or IT infrastructure support.
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including UPS systems, generators, HVAC, and networking hardware.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems for incident management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 environment.
- Certifications such as CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional) or similar are a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergencies as required.
