Responsibility
- Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure, including power systems, cooling, HVAC, UPS, and generators to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical systems, adhering to industry standards and vendor guidelines.
- Oversee capacity planning and scalability initiatives to support business growth and technological advancements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents with minimal downtime, documenting root causes and solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement upgrades, expansions, or new deployments.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, TIA-942).
- Manage vendor relationships for equipment procurement, servicing, and warranties.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and emergency response protocols for operational consistency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in data center operations, facility management, or critical infrastructure support.
- Hands-on expertise with power distribution (PDUs, switchgear), cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH), and backup power (UPS, diesel generators).
- Certifications such as CDCP, CDCS, or Uptime Institute are a strong plus.
- Strong knowledge of BMS (Building Management Systems), DCIM tools, and monitoring platforms (e.g., Nagios, PRTG).
- Ability to work on-call rotations and respond to emergencies outside standard hours.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with ITIL, ISO 27001, or LEED standards is advantageous.
