Responsibility
- Lead Governance Forums: Establish and chair the Enterprise Data & AI Council, ensuring cross-functional alignment and executive-level visibility on data and AI initiatives.
- Develop Governance Frameworks: Design and implement comprehensive governance policies, standards, and procedures for data management, AI ethics, and compliance.
- Drive Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align data and AI strategies with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Risk & Compliance Oversight: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to data privacy, security, and AI model bias, ensuring adherence to global standards (e.g., GDPR, PDPA).
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between business units, IT, legal, and external regulators to foster a culture of responsible data and AI usage.
- Performance Metrics: Define and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of governance programs and drive continuous improvement.
- Innovation Enablement: Champion the adoption of emerging technologies while maintaining robust governance to support scalable and ethical AI solutions.
- Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on data governance, AI ethics, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven Leadership: 8+ years of experience in data governance, AI ethics, or compliance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of financial services, regulatory frameworks (e.g., MAS, GDPR), and enterprise data management.
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with data architectures, AI/ML models, and governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, OneTrust).
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to translate complex regulatory and business requirements into actionable governance strategies.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications in CDMP, CIPP/E, or TOGAF; advanced degrees in Computer Science, Law, or Business are a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to assess risks, resolve governance gaps, and drive data-driven decisions.
