Responsibility
- Monitor and analyze security alerts, logs, and events to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Support daily security operations, including incident response, threat intelligence, and security policy enforcement.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Investigate security breaches and provide detailed reports on findings and remediation steps.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to proactively enhance security measures.
- Assist in security awareness training for employees to promote a culture of cybersecurity vigilance.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar), IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, cloud security, and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing methodologies.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or CISM are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
