Responsibility
- Prepare and submit accurate customs declarations, duty calculations, and tax filings in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and clients to ensure timely clearance of shipments.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving disputes, and offering proactive solutions for import/export challenges.
- Review and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor changes in customs laws, tariffs, and trade agreements and update internal processes accordingly.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize shipment routing, reduce costs, and minimize delays.
- Maintain meticulous records of all customs-related transactions and communications for auditing purposes.
- Assist in risk assessment and mitigation for potential compliance issues in cross-border trade.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customs brokerage, tax declaration, or freight forwarding.
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, HS codes, and duty/tax computation (Indonesian and international).
- Proficient in customs software (e.g., ASYCUDA, INSW) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in Customs Brokerage or Logistics (e.g., CCS, CITP) is highly advantageous.
