Responsibility
- Facilitate the smooth clearance of goods through customs by preparing and submitting accurate documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations, tariffs, and duties.
- Liaise with government agencies, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to resolve customs-related issues.
- Monitor changes in customs laws and update internal policies accordingly.
- Conduct audits to verify compliance with import/export regulations.
- Provide guidance on classification, valuation, and origin of goods.
- Maintain records of shipments, permits, and compliance certificates.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize supply chain processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Customs Broker or Compliance Specialist.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in customs software and ERP systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Certification in customs brokerage is a plus.
