Responsibility
- Oversee and manage all customs compliance activities, ensuring adherence to local and international trade regulations.
- Coordinate import and export operations, including documentation, clearance, and shipment tracking.
- Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to resolve logistics-related issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize customs processes and reduce operational costs.
- Monitor and report on customs duties, taxes, and tariffs to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct regular audits of customs documentation to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to streamline logistics workflows.
- Stay updated on changes in trade laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in customs compliance, logistics, or international trade.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and trade documentation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for liaising with customs authorities and vendors.
- Proficient in logistics software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve logistics challenges.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
