Responsibility
- Assist in the cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Prepare and package sterile supplies and instruments for surgical and medical procedures.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment (e.g., autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners) safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and document sterilization processes to ensure compliance with infection control standards.
- Inspect, assemble, and distribute sterile packs and trays to various hospital departments.
- Adhere to workplace safety and hygiene regulations in all CSSD operations.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage inventory and restock sterile supplies as needed.
- Follow rotating shift schedules (morning, afternoon, night) to support 24/7 CSSD operations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in healthcare, CSSD, or sterile processing is highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of infection control principles and sterilization techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Willingness to perform 3 rotating shifts (including nights, weekends, and public holidays).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with medical staff.
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and lifting moderate weights.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and CSSD workflows is a plus.
- Certification in sterile processing or CSSD (if available) will be an advantage.
