Responsibility
- Design and decorate a variety of cakes, including wedding, birthday, and specialty cakes, according to customer specifications and brand standards.
- Collaborate with the baking team to ensure seamless production from base preparation to final decoration.
- Utilize advanced decorating techniques, including fondant work, piping, airbrushing, and hand-sculpting.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and workspace cleanliness in compliance with industry regulations.
- Consult with clients to understand their vision and provide expert recommendations on designs, flavors, and themes.
- Manage inventory of decorating supplies, tools, and ingredients, and request restocking as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest cake decorating trends, techniques, and tools to continuously enhance your craft.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior team members to uphold BreadTalk’s quality and creativity standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cake Decorator or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your creative designs.
- Proficiency in using decorating tools such as piping bags, fondant rollers, airbrushes, and edible printers.
- Strong artistic skills, including color theory, symmetry, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining precision and quality.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with clients and team members.
