Responsibility
- Develop and maintain comprehensive cost models for medical device projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with market trends.
- Lead the quotation process for new and existing products, collaborating with sales, engineering, and procurement teams.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate material selections, manufacturing processes, and supplier proposals.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through process optimization, value engineering, and supplier negotiations.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key financial insights and recommendations.
- Work closely with R&D teams to assess the financial feasibility of new product designs and innovations.
- Monitor and analyze production costs, variances, and efficiency metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all costing and pricing activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in costing, estimation, or financial analysis within manufacturing, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Strong proficiency in cost modeling tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, macros).
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, material costs, and supply chain dynamics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA regulations, or other medical device compliance standards is highly desirable.
