Responsibility
- Monitor and track project costs to ensure adherence to budgets and financial plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project financial data, including expenditures, forecasts, and variances.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and presentations for stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to optimize cost efficiency.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Develop and implement cost-control strategies to minimize expenditures while maintaining quality.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, bids, and financial feasibility studies.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cost Engineer, Cost Analyst, or similar role in the engineering or construction industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
- Excellent knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial forecasting techniques.
- Familiarity with project management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills to convey financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in cost engineering (e.g., CCM, CEP) is a plus.
