Responsibility
- Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility support, transferring residents safely using proper techniques and equipment.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ health, behavior, or well-being to nursing staff.
- Serve meals and assist residents with feeding when necessary, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for residents.
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Follow infection control protocols and adhere to hygiene standards.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records in compliance with facility policies.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Nursing Aide (CNA) or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in elderly care, home health, or assisted living is a plus.
- Strong compassion, patience, and interpersonal skills to build trust with residents.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and support residents (up to 50 lbs with assistance).
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and care procedures.
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional local language skills are a bonus).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality in patient care.
