Responsibility
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFQ/RFP processes, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiations.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply chains and favorable terms.
- Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supply risks to proactively mitigate disruptions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Finance, Quality Assurance) to align procurement activities with production and inventory needs.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to secure competitive advantages.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and implement improvement plans where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commodity buying, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industry.
- Proven track record in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in market analysis, cost modeling, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, incoterms, and logistics is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
