Responsibility
- Lead and oversee the commissioning process for data centre mechanical, electrical, and IT systems.
- Develop and implement commissioning plans, test procedures, and quality assurance protocols.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and vendors, to ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct comprehensive system testing, troubleshooting, and validation to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Prepare detailed commissioning reports, documentation, and handover packages for operational teams.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout the commissioning phase.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and commissioning staff.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring smooth project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in commissioning data centres or critical infrastructure projects.
- Proven expertise in HVAC, electrical power systems, UPS, generators, and fire suppression systems.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NEMA, NFPA, Uptime Institute).
- Exceptional leadership and project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Certifications such as PE, CCP, or CDCP are highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
