Responsibility
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, focusing on steak and grill preparations.
- Prepare and cook high-quality ingredients, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety standards.
- Support in inventory management, including stock rotation and waste minimization.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and refine menu items, incorporating local and international flavors.
- Follow standardized recipes and plating guidelines to uphold the restaurantâs reputation for excellence.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries to ensure quality and freshness of ingredients.
- Participate in staff training and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work culture.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a steak house or fine dining establishment.
- Culinary diploma or certificate from a recognized institution is a plus.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with grill and steak preparation techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (HACCP certification is advantageous).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 20 kg).
