Responsibility
- Operate and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform precise measurements and inspections of medical device components.
- Develop and optimize CMM programs to ensure accurate and efficient measurement processes.
- Analyze measurement data and generate detailed reports to support quality control and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Perform calibration and maintenance of CMM equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Train and mentor junior team members on CMM operations and best practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance measurement processes and reduce defects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for medical device manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in CMM programming and operation, preferably in the medical device or precision engineering industry.
- Proficiency in CMM software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso) and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 and other relevant quality standards is a plus.
