Note: This is a contract position with the potential for long-term collaboration. Remote work from Bali is fully supported, with occasional virtual meetings to align with global teams.
Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native data pipelines using AWS services (Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, Redshift, S3, etc.)
- Implement and optimize ETL processes to ensure efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to build data models and support advanced analytics initiatives
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, ensuring high availability and reliability
- Develop and enforce data governance policies, including security, privacy, and compliance standards
- Automate data workflows using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Document data architectures, processes, and best practices for knowledge sharing
- Stay updated with emerging cloud data technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cloud data engineering, with a strong focus on AWS
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and transformation
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, Redshift, S3, Athena, etc.)
- Familiarity with big data tools such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and lakehouse architectures
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data engineering
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
