Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients and develop personalized dietary plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition into patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition, dietary modifications, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting nutritional plans as needed.
- Lead group nutrition workshops and community outreach programs to promote public health.
- Stay updated on the latest research and trends in clinical nutrition and apply evidence-based practices.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide counseling on weight management, chronic disease prevention, and sports nutrition.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
- Certification as a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RDN) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical nutrition, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and dietary guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively counsel patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Proficiency in using nutrition software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Passion for promoting health and wellness through education and advocacy.
