Responsibility
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all on-site deep excavation and tunneling activities to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with stringent safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Manage the technical documentation for earth retention systems, shoring, and tunneling excavation methods.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and field teams to troubleshoot technical challenges during excavation processes.
- Monitor soil movement and instrumentation data to ensure structural stability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare comprehensive progress reports for project managers, highlighting milestones, risks, and resource utilization.
- Coordinate with local authorities and consultants to ensure alignment with statutory engineering requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3-5 years of direct experience in deep excavation and tunneling construction.
- Strong knowledge of ground improvement techniques and shoring systems (e.g., diaphragm walls, secant piles).
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, PLAXIS, or equivalent structural analysis tools.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret geotechnical reports and structural drawings.
- Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and contractors in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Professional certification (e.g., BEM/IEM registration) is highly preferred.
