Responsibility
- Conduct precise chemical analysis and laboratory testing on raw materials, finished products, and environmental samples to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, including spectrophotometers, chromatographs, and pH meters, to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Develop and validate analytical methods for new product formulations, process improvements, and troubleshooting chemical-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to support product development and process optimization initiatives.
- Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and presentations of test results, findings, and recommendations for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure strict adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), safety protocols, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, HACCP, FDA) in all laboratory activities.
- Assist in the implementation of sustainability initiatives, such as waste reduction, chemical management, and energy-efficient laboratory practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in chemical analysis and laboratory management through continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the food, agricultural, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting laboratory instruments, such as HPLC, GC, AAS, and UV-Vis spectrophotometers.
- Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques, including titration, spectroscopy, chromatography, and wet chemistry methods.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 17025, HACCP, GMP) and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to document and present technical information clearly and concisely.
- Commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement in laboratory practices.
