Responsibility
- Oversee the daily operations of the Active Aging Centre, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of staff and volunteers to maintain high standards of care and engagement.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and activities tailored to the physical, mental, and social needs of elderly participants.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, community partners, and families to create a supportive and inclusive environment for seniors.
- Monitor and manage centre budgets, resources, and facilities to ensure optimal use and compliance with regulations.
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
- Foster strong relationships with community stakeholders, including local government, NGOs, and volunteers, to enhance the centre’s outreach and impact.
- Prepare and present regular reports on centre performance, participant feedback, and program outcomes to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Healthcare Management, Gerontology, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in healthcare, social services, or community programs for the elderly.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and volunteers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation for senior care or community services.
- Knowledge of local health and safety regulations, as well as best practices in elderly care and active aging.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic administrative tools; experience with database management is a plus.
