Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning, following standardized recipes and portion controls.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment (e.g., mixers, grinders, ovens) safely and efficiently.
- Support the central kitchen team in large-scale food production, ensuring consistency and adherence to quality standards.
- Follow strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety protocols (HACCP, SOP) to maintain a clean and compliant workspace.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking ingredient usage and reporting shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
- Package and label prepared food items for distribution to various outlets, ensuring accuracy and freshness.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to streamline workflows and meet daily production targets.
- Participate in kitchen cleanup, waste disposal, and equipment sanitization at the end of each shift.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a kitchen, catering, or food production environment (entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply).
- Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a team-oriented mindset.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 20 kg), and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Basic English communication skills (Bahasa Indonesia fluency is a plus).
- Certification in food handling or hygiene (e.g., HACCP) is advantageous but not required.
