Responsibility
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies to drive category growth, sales, and profitability in alignment with company objectives.
- Lead product launches from concept to market, ensuring seamless coordination with marketing, supply chain, and sales teams.
- Optimize inventory planning and stock levels to minimize costs while meeting demand and reducing out-of-stock scenarios.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms that enhance margin and value.
- Monitor and analyze commercial performance using KPIs (e.g., sales, margin, turnover) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, e-commerce, logistics) to ensure cohesive category management and brand consistency.
- Drive customer-centric initiatives by leveraging insights from consumer behavior, feedback, and data analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in category management, retail merchandising, or a similar role within the consumer products industry.
- Proven track record of driving category growth through strategic planning, product launches, and performance optimization.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL) and retail management software.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills with experience in supplier contracts and pricing strategies.
- Deep understanding of retail trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics in Southeast Asia (preferably Indonesia).
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a results-driven mindset.
