Responsibility
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure quality, competitiveness, and reliability of grocery products.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best deals for the company.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to make informed buying decisions.
- Collaborate with the inventory and logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize shortages or overstock situations.
- Develop and implement promotional strategies to drive sales and enhance customer engagement.
- Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, buying, or retail operations, preferably in the grocery sector.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and market research.
