Responsibility
- Develop and execute strategic procurement plans to ensure cost-effective and timely sourcing of materials and services.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock, aligning with production forecasts.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and finance teams to align purchasing activities with business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and cost data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, spending, and supplier performance to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Resolve supply chain disruptions proactively by implementing contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, buying, or supply chain planning, preferably in manufacturing or logistics.
- Proven track record in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Just-in-Time (JIT), or demand planning is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous.
