Responsibility
- Develop detailed 3D BIM models for plumbing systems using industry-standard software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks).
- Collaborate with MEP engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure accurate and clash-free designs.
- Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues between plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Generate and maintain shop drawings, as-built drawings, and BIM execution plans for plumbing installations.
- Ensure compliance with local and international building codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and material estimations from BIM models to support procurement and cost analysis.
- Participate in design review meetings and provide technical input to optimize plumbing system layouts.
- Stay updated with the latest BIM trends, tools, and best practices to enhance modeling efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in BIM modeling for MEP services, with a focus on plumbing systems.
- Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks; familiarity with other BIM tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of plumbing system design, hydraulic calculations, and pipe routing.
- Experience with clash detection software and coordination workflows in multi-disciplinary projects.
- Knowledge of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650, AIA, or local regulations).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving project requirements.
