Based in Bali’s most sought-after destinations—Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, or Badung—you’ll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where creativity and precision meet. Whether you’re refining training modules or mentoring staff, your expertise will drive operational success and customer satisfaction.
Responsibility
- Design and deliver comprehensive barista training programs for new and existing staff, covering coffee preparation, milk steaming, latte art, and equipment maintenance.
- Develop and standardize beverage recipes, SOPs, and quality control procedures to ensure consistency across all outlets.
- Lead product innovation by testing and introducing new beverage concepts, seasonal specials, and signature drinks.
- Conduct regular skill assessments and certifications for baristas to maintain high service and product standards.
- Collaborate with the operations and R&D teams to source premium ingredients and optimize cost efficiency without compromising quality.
- Monitor industry trends and incorporate best practices in coffee culture, sustainability, and customer experience.
- Provide on-the-floor coaching and troubleshooting to resolve service or product issues in real time.
- Organize and lead workshops, competitions, and team-building activities to foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior Barista or Barista Trainer in a high-volume café or specialty coffee environment.
- Certification in SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) or equivalent is highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to train, mentor, and inspire teams with a passion for coffee and customer service.
- Deep knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and equipment (e.g., espresso machines, grinders, cold brew systems).
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in Indonesian is a plus.
- Creative mindset with a track record of developing innovative beverage recipes or improving operational workflows.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to support training schedules and peak business periods.
- Passion for sustainability and ethical sourcing in the coffee industry.
