Responsibility
- Perform high-quality vehicle body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural alignment.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion.
- Mix and apply automotive paints using spray equipment, matching colors precisely to manufacturer standards.
- Inspect repaired vehicles for quality, ensuring all work meets Toyota’s stringent standards and customer expectations.
- Operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment, such as spray guns, sanders, and welding machines.
- Collaborate with service advisors and insurance assessors to provide accurate repair estimates and timelines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations when handling chemicals, paints, and repair materials.
- Document all repair processes and maintain detailed records for warranty and service history purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (minimum 2-3 years) as a Body and Paint Technician in the automotive industry.
- Certification or vocational training in automotive body repair and refinishing (e.g., I-CAR, ASE, or equivalent).
- Proficiency in using spray painting equipment, color-matching systems, and body repair tools.
- Strong understanding of vehicle construction, materials (steel, aluminum, composites), and modern repair techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, repair orders, and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering flawless finishes.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
