Responsibility
- Lead the mechanical design and development of semiconductor equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to deliver high-performance, reliable mechanical systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and testing to validate design concepts and optimize performance.
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings.
- Oversee material selection, tolerance analysis, and cost optimization to ensure designs are both functional and economically viable.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in semiconductor technology and integrate innovative solutions into design processes.
- Ensure all designs meet safety, regulatory, and environmental compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās or Masterās degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in mechanical design, with at least 3 years in semiconductor equipment or precision engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) and FEA/CFD analysis software.
- Strong knowledge of material science, manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, etc.), and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Experience with project management, DFMEA, and design validation methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts.
- Familiarity with ISO, ASME, or other industry standards for mechanical design.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.
