As a key leader in our merchandising team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify emerging trends, optimize inventory, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Responsibility
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies for the Gadgets & Electronics category to drive revenue growth and market share.
- Lead supplier negotiations, contracts, and partnerships to secure competitive pricing, exclusive deals, and innovative product offerings.
- Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and sales data to optimize product assortments and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to align merchandising plans with promotional campaigns and store execution.
- Monitor category performance metrics (e.g., sell-through, margin, turnover) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Identify and capitalize on emerging technology trends to introduce high-demand products ahead of competitors.
- Manage budget planning and forecasting for the category, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing merchandising team to achieve operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in retail merchandising, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (preferably in Gadgets/Electronics).
- Proven track record of driving category growth, supplier management, and P&L responsibility.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills (proficient in Excel, retail analytics tools).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Deep understanding of consumer electronics market trends, pricing strategies, and inventory optimization.
- Experience working in Southeast Asian retail markets is highly advantageous.
