Responsibility
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations, working closely with tax authorities and advisors.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and compliance reviews.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements within the finance department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, MICPA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian and Indonesian tax laws, GAAP, and IFRS standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
- Experience in a multinational or fast-growing company is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia or Indonesian is an advantage.
